Texas Oil & Gas Producer Expands Deployment of Earthview BluBird Continuous Emissions Monitoring System
We are proud to announce that a leading publicly traded Exploration & Production (E&P) company has expanded its deployment of the Earthview BluBird™ Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) for monitoring emissions from its oil and gas operations in the Eagle Ford Shale play in south Texas.
Encouraged by the ongoing performance of the BluBird CEMS, the operator has deployed new sensors to three additional production pads. This expansion is part of an active rollout of Earthview’s continuous monitoring solution by the customer in the Eagle Ford trend and the Delaware Basin region of the Permian Basin.
The BluBird system continuously monitors emissions of methane and VOCs at multiple well sites and related infrastructure, including a gathering system and facilities operated by the customer. Data is used to detect, locate, quantify and repair leaks to reduce fugitive emissions, evaluate environmental performance and develop operational efficiencies.
Customized system algorithms tailored to the specific oil and gas production composition of the customer’s operations improves alert reliability and increases the accuracy of methane emissions quantification.
